Answers to common questions about BullyAlert.

For Students

Is my report really anonymous?
Yes — completely. BullyAlert does not collect your name, student ID, phone number, or any device identifier. Your report cannot be traced back to you by school staff or by us.
Do I need to create an account to report?
No. Students never need to create an account or log in. Just open the app, select your grade, and submit your report.
What happens after I submit a report?
Your report is immediately sent to your school's designated staff members. They will review it and take appropriate action. You'll earn a badge for speaking up.
Can I report something that happened online?
Yes. When selecting the location, choose "Online / Social Media." You can describe what happened and attach screenshots as evidence.

For Parents

Can I report on behalf of my child?
Yes. BullyAlert has a parent reporting option. Select "I'm a parent" when submitting a report. You may optionally provide contact information if you'd like the school to follow up with you.
Is BullyAlert safe for my child to use?
Yes. BullyAlert collects no personal information from students. It is COPPA compliant and designed specifically for school safety use. No advertising, no tracking, no accounts required.

For Schools & Staff

How does my school get set up?
Download BullyAlert from the App Store or Google Play. During setup, create your school's staff account using your school code. Contact us at jose@bullyalert.app for onboarding assistance.
How much does BullyAlert cost?
BullyAlert is free for individual schools. District-wide deployments are available — contact us for pricing.
Is BullyAlert FERPA compliant?
Yes. BullyAlert does not collect or store student education records as defined by FERPA. No student PII is ever transmitted to or stored by BullyAlert. See our FERPA compliance section for details.
Can we use BullyAlert on school Chromebooks?
Yes. BullyAlert has a dedicated Chromebook web interface designed for K–5 elementary students. No app install required — students access it through the browser.
